Welcome

On Saturday and Sunday, September 23rd and 24th, 2017 we will celebrated 43 years of bringing fine art to our community. Held on the grounds of Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington, IL, more than 5,000 visitors enjoy the 175 artists exhibiting in all art mediums. This beautiful fall festival continues to provide an ideal gathering place for a weekend of art, entertainment, food, and fun for the entire family. A wonderful way to welcome the fall season.

Celebrating 43 Years ! 

We are putting together another amazing art show in 2017 with over 175 artists exhibiting their works in the barns and tents throughout the hospital grounds.  We had more than 5,000 visitors last year with perfect Indian Summer weather.  Be sure to see the 2016 artist award winners! and all the fine artists who participated in the event.

Great for the Entire Family

  • With Music & Entertainment at the main stage throughout the event

  • Kids can enjoy the Petting Zoo and create their own art in the Children's Art Corner

  • We have a great raffle.  Prizes are donated by the artists!


Activities

 

Petting Zoo

Petting Zoo open from 11:00am - 3:00pm each day. A $5.00 entrance fee includes a cup of food to feed to the animals. This wonderful activity is sponsored by friends of Art in the Barn, Pat & Fran Houlihan!

Children's Art Tent

Future artists spend enjoyable time painting pumpkins and creating masterpieces to take home.  

Student Art Gallery

2017 Art in the Barn will include works from two chosen young artists from each of the District 220 Barrington elementary schools. Their works will be showcased at the end of the main garage.


Food & Entertainment

The Food Court is conveniently located near the main stage entertainment.  A complete array of hand-prepared treats are available with something for everyone.  Of course, the Famous Brat Tent, sponsored by Good Shepherd Hospital, is at the center of it all!
